Website Launch: City of Elgin
Elgin is one of the many charming communities that make Southeast Minnesota unique. With just over 1000 residents, Elgin is a scenic drive from state parks, the Mississippi River, and bustling Rochester, MN. Elgin is also home to the Annual Elgin Cheese Days in July. Yum!
The Municipal Website Design Process
Like all technology, websites age faster than we would like. For the City of Elgin, it was time to update its website to a modern WordPress platform. The city website received a design update with fresh photography, branded colors and a responsive layout.
The homepage includes branded buttons for the city’s most important resources. Visitors and residents alike can use the website to find city government information, business directory listings, and more!
During the website upgrade, our team worked with the City of Elgin to migrate their pdf forms to online forms. This makes submission and information collection much easier for residents and city staff alike.
We have helped create websites for many local communities in Minnesota and Wisconsin. What we’ve learned is that no matter the size, each city shares a passion for providing the best resources to its visitors and residents.
